About Our Founder

Meet Natasha 
Born and raised in a small town in Belarus, Natasha grew up surrounded by forest, music, and garden. From an early age, she participated in harvesting food, foraging mushrooms each fall, and spending summers on her grandmother’s farm - weeding strawberries, caring for animals, making jams, and blending herbal health potions. Helping on the farm of her grandparents, who were full-time teachers during the school year, shaped her values of discipline: rising with the roosters, service, continuous learning, and community.
A graduate of a seven-year classical piano pre-conservatory program, and later a student of Judo while in business school, Natasha came to understand strength not as force, but as gentleness, patience, steadiness, and an unwavering will to grow.

After leaving her home country, she dreamed of finding freedom and a supportive community that felt like home. After 5 years of arriving in the U.S., she found herself living with chronic pain, sense of loneliness, and lacking a purpose, and it was through daily yoga,  fitness, and caring connections that came with it, she began to feel better. 
In her recovery process, she studied and trained in Bhakti Yoga, Engaged Yin, and Pilates, and graduated from the Spiritual Psychology program at the University of Santa Monica. Those teachings became the foundation of her life’s work:  a practice of uniting body, mind, and spirit with compassion and purpose.  She opened Glow Yoga & Wellness as a sanctuary where people can recover from chronic pain, rebuild strength, peace, and sense of belonging. 
For more than fourteen years, Glow has offered an intentional, heart-centered approach to wellness - blending the power of resistance training with yoga and the recovery benefits of massage.

Now after 20 years of being here, Natasha is still and always in love with San Francisco and it's unique beauty, resilience, and spirit of advocating for the greater good.  She is devoted to making this city even more vibrant, healthy and neighborly.

With all that said, what makes Glow truly special isn’t Natasha - it’s you. - Yoga Class temperature🌡️ is set at 75°F, like a perfect summer day to melt away all your tension. We don't heat the room for KettleBuns, Pilates and Barre classes. During the heat waves, we use AC ❄️ to keep you comfortable and cool like a cucumber.

A+B OF LIFELONG WELLNESS: HOW TO DESIGN YOUR IDEAL ROUTINE

A. If your goal is to build strength and flexibility: please book Glow Flow, Barre, Pilates, and KettleBuns classes 2-3 times a week. These 4 classes are all resistance strength training blended with dynamic stretching. For sustainability, it's best to mix them up, do not only take Flow, or only Barre, or only KettleBells. To gain strength and muscle density - taking 3 strength classes a week gives the best results. Strength Training is essential for powerful aging.

B. For recovery, clearing burnout, tension-pain-inflammation buildup, anxiety, insomnia, or restlessness: enjoy a monthly Massage with Red Light at our Spa, PLUS 2-3 weekly classes: our decadent Happy Hour Retreats: Hot Stones Yin on Fridays 4:30p, SoundBaths on Thursdays 6:30p, as well as weekly Hatha Yoga, Recovery Lab with Massage, Restore+Reiki, and Meditation classes. What Makes Glow Method Effective Long-Term?

The truth we don’t talk about enough: when we start doing too much of the same thing every day: only sitting, only strength training, only playing tennis, only doing yoga, only running, only walking, and (let’s be honest) skipping our monthly massage - our body eventually starts to protest. Chronic pain and repetitive strain injuries are real, and they’re our bodies' way of saying, “Mix it up!” Without yoga  - we will naturally lose our mobility with age, without resistance training - we lose our power with muscle/bone, without massage - our muscles tighten and lose their range of motion. All above mentioned signs aging deeply affects our mental state, how we feel and the overall quality of our life. But, we're here to help you Glow-getting at any age!

2. Asteya: never stealing others' peace by arriving 5 minutes before class, staying for Savasana, and by not bringing Phones inside the classroom

3. Saucha: cleanliness. I leave no spots or trash behind. I never bring single-use plastic bottles. And I take shoes off, including inside bathrooms

4. Santosha: peaceful presence. Use a quiet, zen voice in the reception. Your Phone is on Silence & Away from sight

5. Svadyaya: self-study, personal responsibility and growth mindset. Please always refer to our FAQ page for any questions on how to use and manage your memberships and reservations. Be open to learn new ways of being, behaving, and caring for yourself and others

Which Classes Beginner-Friendly?

- If you are a beginner yogi 15-75yo, please start with these classes: Hatha, Yin, Restore+Reiki, Barre Burn, KettleBells, Pilates Core, Recovery Lab, SoundBath, Chakra Relaxation. You may progress to 'Glow Flow' class after a couple of weeks of taking all other classes, if you like.

- To increase muscle-bone density, we recommend our signature resistance-based Barre, Pilates, KettleBell classes. They are a much needed resistance Strength Training option for people of all ages and levels. Our resistance tools create a very custom weight training (1-100lb) that is safe and supportive for your joints. 
- Craving deep stretches? Our Hatha, Yin+Hot Stones, Yin+Massage, Recovery Lab classes will erase your chronic tension, boost flexibility and range of motion. These classes feel like Spa Day, and are also excellent for beginners, pregnant students and all special conditions.
- Glow is a SAFE wellness club: Skeletally Appropriate For Everyone. We welcome people of all ages because strengthening paired with tension and stress release is key for feeling best in our body.
- Glow massages & facials are essential pleasure-driven stress-eliminating care: circulation is key to cellular renewal, healing pain, and inflammation.
- Glow Flow  and Core Flow are all-level heated strengthening Vinyasa yoga class with always creative sequences, planks, core work, downdogs, one-legged balancing poses and a variety of advanced poses introduced in every class. - WEAR grippy socks to Barre, Mat Pilates, KettleBell, Recovery Lab classes (required) and recommended for Yoga. Absolutely no shoes inside, even in the bathrooms: we recommend to wear grippy socks at Glow at all times for the best hygiene practice. - WEAR freshly laundered clothes, body deodorant and please abstain from wearing any perfume.

You will be able to modify/reschedule all of your reservations according to our cancellation policies:
 • 48h for Spa appointments. $50 fee for late-canceled/rescheduled within 48h. The prepaid appointment will be saved for future use - simply log in to your account to rebook. 
 • 24h for Red Light appointments. $20 fee for late-cancel or no-show.

What are Meditation Classes?

Class begins with Pranayama, and every pose lasts about 15 minutes, giving you a perfect time slot to meditate, recite offered affirmations, or simply observe on your breathing. 
On Mon, Wed and Fri at 7:15a you can join in-studio or Livestream Clearing Meditation  -  30-minute morning practice to help you start each day with clarity. Our simple sequence of gentle stretches, breathwork, and guided meditation will cleanse your mind of yesterday, leaving you with the new day's energy to focus, pursue, and accomplish your dreams.

All our Meditation classes above are essential for mental clarity, self-awareness and reducing the dangers of unconscious stress. These classes cover all 7 Limbs of Yoga besides the Asana. In medicine they're called Mental Hygiene, or Stress Reducing Mindfulness. Mindfulness practice is a missing key to a wide-spread anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain, conflict and burnout. How To Cancel / Pause My Membership?​

- First things first: please note that the price of all Glow memberships already assumes that you will miss 6-8 weeks a year, so we kindly ask that you avoid canceling or pausing your membership as your membership helps us sustain the quality of our classes, support the livelihood of the teachers you love, and cover our yearly operating costs. - Some Memberships can be paused for 1-2 months (see your agreement) once year with a minimum 2 weeks email/webchat notice to avoid re-enrollment fees. The pause fee is $15. - Please know that our staff does NOT take any cancellations requests in person or via phone. They also can not see any more information than you can see in your Account. - Our 2024 and prior Memberships require a 30-day cancellation email before your next charge: we do not take any cancellation requests via phone or in person. - Glow is known for our zen ambiance and comfortable social distancing in classes. Top-notch hygiene and cleanliness are co-created with our members.

- To use our Yoga Mats  - please place a clean Mat Towel on top of our yoga mat to keep mat clean. We sell mats $40, Mat Towel $30, and Rent Yoga Mat+Mat Towel $5.​

- We're a shoe-free minimum-waste studio. No shoes inside - even the bathrooms - we take them off as we enter. No single-use plastic bottles are allowed inside. Bring only reusable bottles or nothing - we have a water cooler with paper cups.

- Our powerful HVAC is bringing fresh outside air in, plus we open our windows to continually ventilate the rooms.

- Our team and members stay home with any cold-flu symptoms. Running nose - sore throat - coughing - please rest and heal first.

- We disinfect door handles, water dispensers, and all touch surfaces with anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial solutions. Our floor cleaning solution has always been anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial.​

- We laundry our yoga straps, bolsters, straps, and blankets regularly. ​
