Dhrti Yama - Calm Constancy

Thank you! Hope you have a peaceful day

There are 10 Yamas and 10 Niyamas - yogic take on human values and ethical practices that help us reach our full potential for personal, spiritual, and professional growth, and to liberate us from the repetitive cycle of suffering. When we live in contradiction to the highest values, when we avoid taking the higher road -  we get stuck in a rat.

This month, we are inviting you to align your life with the value of determination and consistency using the profound tools of yoga practice and holistic wellness. Dhrti (pronounced like ‘deerty’) is the value of firm determination and perseverance toward our purpose against all challenges. It gives consistency to our character and our actions.

It helps us establish and keep our boundaries with grace, commit to our purpose, and build our confidence and our faith. Success is INEVITABLE when we embody this Yama.  Read about 101 Old Skier George Jedenoff from the East Bay who truly embodies this yogic value. When we embody calm constancy, we avoid self-sabotage, which supports our mental health. When we embody calm constancy, the whole universe supports us and opportunities will be opened up to create ease and flow.

What will YOU introduce in your life as a calm constancy this month? this year? your whole life?  Please contemplate it from every angle possible.
